Andrew is a respected and experienced leader with a strong background in public programming, events, exhibitions, learning/education, marketing/communications, publishing across the cultural sector. His experience covers both large and smaller organisations, most notably State Library Victoria, the National Trust of Australia (Victoria) and the Victoria and Albert Museum, London.

Building from his interest in the intersection of culture, learning, technology, ideas and creativity, Andrew has a strong network with access to education, culture and technology thought leaders in Australia and internationally. And through his involvement with the Australian Learning Lecture (www.all-learning.org.au), he is also engaged with contemporary thinking about with the future of learning.

He consults to cultural and other organisations in the areas of education/learning, public programming, strategic planning, partnerships, divergent thinking and as a critical friend/mentor.

Karina holds over 25 years’ with the museum and gallery sector. As the Manager Arts & Libraries at City of Monash, Karina Lamb is responsible for the leadership and management of the arts, library and festival/events portfolios, including the Monash Gallery of Arts (MGA), delivering innovative new ideas, programs and strategies that support the needs and expectations of the Monash community. 

Previous positions include, Manager Libraries, Arts & Culture at Mornington Peninsula Shire, Gallery Director at Arts Space Wodonga, General Manager for Centre for Contemporary Photography, Exhibitions Officer at Ian Potter Museum of Art, Senior Curator at Latrobe Gallery, Travelling Exhibitions Coordinator at Koorie Heritage Trust, and Curator/Museum Development Officer at City of Melville and the City of Mandurah in WA; where she was awarded a Museums Australia (WA Branch) Award for improvements to the museum sector.

In addition, Karina has completed a PhD thesis that explores Indigenous languages and collections management practices in Australian and New Zealand museums for the Interdisciplinary Cross-Cultural Research program at Australian National University.

Anthony is Manager of the Eureka Centre in Ballarat, located at the National Heritage-listed site of the Eureka Stockade Memorial Park. He is leading the process of renewal at the Eureka Centre - the third iteration of a museum at the site since 1998.

Anthony was previously the Director of Ararat Gallery TAMA from 2007 to 2018. The gallery holds the most comprehensive collection of post-1970s textile art in Australia. From 2013 he combined the gallery directorship with the position of Manager Cultural Services, Ararat Rural City Council. He established the business case, attracted funding and played a critical role in the delivery a transformative $7.73M redevelopment of the Ararat Arts Precinct. This project was completed in time to mark the gallery’s 50th year in 2018.

Anthony has more than 20 years’ experience in arts management, project delivery and policy roles, including at the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, Wyndham City Council and Footscray Community Arts Centre. He holds a BA from La Trobe University and a graduate diploma (art history) and postgraduate diploma (art curatorship) from Melbourne University. Past committee roles include Public Galleries Association of Victoria, NETS Victoria and the Victorian Foundation for Living Australian Artists. Hi writing has appeared in Eyeline, Art Monthly and in numerous catalogue essays.

Siobhan's current role is Manager, Finance and Corporate Services for the Association of Australian Dial Before You Dig Services Ltd, a not for profit organisation located in Melbourne and has held this role since early 2015. Siobhan is also Treasurer of the Mordialloc Neighbourhood House Inc and has been on the Committee of Governance since March 2018. Over the last 15 years Siobhan has held finance roles with ANZ, Australian Unity, Healius (Primary Health Care) and Sugar Australia. This experience has contributed towards a special interest in corporate governance, process improvement and bringing the finance perspective to colleagues and teams from diverse backgrounds.

Siobhan also has a background in community participation and volunteering and is a member of the Camberwell Historical Society and Friends of Gardiners Creek Valley.

Siobhan is a Fellow of Certified Practicing Accountants Australia, a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and has a Master in Professional Accounting (Victoria University) and a Bachelor of Business in Administration (Local Government) (RMIT University).

Kim’s background is in museums, tourism and community cultural development within a regional setting. Her particular expertise lies in strategic planning, policy development and project management with an emphasis on access and sustainability. 

Kim has spent almost ten years as a part of the NSW Museum Advisor Network, facilitated by Museums and Galleries NSW. In this role, she  concurrently managed ongoing relationships with six local government bodies as Regional Museum Advisor, and serviced in excess of thirty five community, volunteer run museums across the Riverina Region of NSW. 

Following relocation to regional Victoria, Kim commenced as Arts & Culture Advisor with Golden Plains Shire Council in 2019 with ongoing links to small museums in regional communities. Kim offers AMaGA Victoria over 25 years of industry experience, a commitment to the GLAM sector, a passion for enabling community access to collections and to building our stories through a sustainable industry.

Monica has worked in museums for over a decade, and for the past eight years she has managed the Geoffrey Kaye Museum of Anaesthetic History: a small, niche museum, existing within an organisation unrelated to the museum sector. This creates an interesting set of operational complexities. It also means she brings a perhaps unusual perspective on how museums operate when they are non-core business for the overarching organisation, but still need to be a valuable contributor to the organisation’s strategic objectives.

The Geoffrey Kaye Museum is a one-person museum, so it’s a generalist’s role, including all aspects of management, from policy development through to collections, curatorial, programming, and even social media. Monica would like the opportunity to bring that perspective to the branch committee. She has had quite a diverse career so far, including maritime heritage, policing and now medical history. She has also worked for AMaGA Victoria in the past, having been a MAP Co-manager. Monica would like to take a more active role in steering the sector forward and be a representative for the many different types of museums.

Sione is a Tongan Australian born in Narrm (Melbourne) on Boonwurrung Country. As a museum professional, cultural leader, and artist, Sione is committed to serving First Peoples and Pacific First Nations through supporting open dialogues between communities, academics and cultural institutions.

With over 25 years' experience, Sione has expertise in many varied and diverse areas, such as community consultation, collection management, curatorial research, exhibition development and implementation. His professional profile in the museums and galleries sector includes Museums Victoria, ACCA, Monash Museum of Art, and the NGV. Sione has also worked in the private sector for POD Museum and Art services in addition to his own art practice and consultation services.

Sione was a member of Museums Victoria’s Pacific Islands Advisory Group from 1997 to 2001, Brown Roots Arts Collective 2002 to 2003, and served as a member of the Pacific Advisory Group. Sione’s current areas of interest are First Peoples co curating/development models in cross-disciplinary collections across the Pacific region, as well as Indigenous leadership and pathways in today’s museums. A major focus is First Nations representation in the digital/online area, looking at social interaction/connections, guided by principles of respect, authenticity and honesty.

Indigo is ACMI’s Strategic Research Lead, where she conducts in house research and evaluation, coordinates and commissions market research, and supports delivery of university research partnerships. Previously, Indigo was a Research Fellow in the ARC Centre of Excellence for Automated Decision-Making and Society at RMIT, where she investigated digital inequality and transformation in the creative and cultural industries. Indigo’s research has been published in Cultural Trends, Archival Science, Cultural Studies, and the International Journal of Communication.

Megan is Program Director at Yarra Ranges Regional Museum and a consultant in cultural programming, arts and wellbeing. With 20 years' experience in curatorial and senior management positions across the arts, heritage, museums, music, ideas and health sectors in Australia, Megan is passionate about the growth of Australia’s creative industries and the ways that museums can address the challenges and needs of communities and create social change.

Megan began her career studying a BA (Hons) in History and Philosophy, and an MA (Research) in Public History, working in historical research, interpretation, community heritage and as a curator. After roles at Melbourne Museum and Yarra Ranges Regional Museum, she led programming for The School of Life Australia, then business and programming for The Mind Room (as well as founding a record store, Thornbury Records, along the way). Returning to the GLAM sector as Program Director at Yarra Ranges Regional Museum, Megan is excited to work with community and to realise the potential for cross-sector collaboration that the local government environment enables.

As a committee member of AMaGA Victoria Megan hopes to contribute to the long-term development of the GLAM sector and to highlight the important role the sector plays in community wellbeing.
