Flood Recovery Hotline
Flood Recovery Hotline is a single state-wide number, 1800 560 760, that Victorians impacted by the October 2022 floods can call for help or assistance with:
- navigating available supports
- mental health and wellbeing support
The recovery hotline is open from 7.30am-7.30pm everyday.
Grants and Assistance
Australian Government Disaster Recovery Payment (AGDRP)
In addition, the one-off, non-means tested Australian government disaster recovery payment of $1000 for eligible adults and $400 for children is available to people who live in the Victorian flood impacted LGAs.
- Equivalent financial assistance will also be available for eligible New Zealand citizens ('non-protected' Special Category Visas, subclass 444 holders) affected by the floods.

The AICCM is a not-for-profit organisation concerned with the conservation, preservation, research of, and access to Australia’s tangible and intangible cultural, historical and scientific heritage.

Grimwade Conservation Services

Volunteer Register / Requests for Assistance
Expressions of interest received from conservators to volunteer their time and /or services are collated by the AICCM Secretariat in a register. If members or organisations request assistance in regards to conservation of cultural heritage, AICCM offer to put people in contact with each other. Gippsland Emergency Relief Fund
A volunteer-run registered charity established to provide immediate short-term funds to Gippslanders affected by natural disaster. IT is funded by donations from businesses, with all donations returned to the community. https://www.gerf.org.au/
A number of Local Government areas across Victoria have been impacted by this event through flooding, significant storm damage, and prolonged power outages. You may wish to contact your local council directly to discuss whether they are providing additional financial or direct support assistance at this time.
