Rural Finance: Small Business Bushfire Support Grants

The Victorian and Commonwealth Governments have announced Small Business Bushfire Support Grants of $10,000 to support small businesses (including primary producers) who have experienced a significant loss of income due to the Victorian bushfires that commenced 21 November 2019. Regional Arts Victoria Creative Recovery for Bushfire Affected Regions

Applications will open late June for a new Creative Recovery grants program, through Regional Arts Victoria, A $700,000 creative recovery initiative will provide targeted support to Victoria’s bushfire affected communities with grants for tourism-boosting projects and events, support to creative businesses to bounce back. http://www.rav.net.au/news/funding/creative-recovery-for-bushfire-affected-regions

 

Blue Shield Australia

As an associated member of Blue Shield Australia (BSA), will be working closely with BSA and other organisations on sharing resources and distributing information.

Blue Shield Australia Impact survey 2020 - Closed

Blue Shield Australia is conducting a survey to quantify the impact of the bushfires and extreme weather events experienced across Australia from 1 November 2019 to 31 January 2020. The information will be aggregated to provide an overall cost to the sector of natural disasters this season. A report will be published using the results, which will be made available on the Blue Shield Australia website. BSA will not identify individual institutions’ results.

The questions in the survey relate to visitor numbers, building closures, staff absences, technical issues, impact on collections and on revenue.

The AICCM is a not-for-profit organisation concerned with the conservation, preservation, research of, and access to Australia’s tangible and intangible cultural, historical and scientific heritage.

Volunteer Register / Requests for Assistance

Expressions of interest received from conservators to volunteer their time and /or services will be collated by the AICCM Secretariat in a register.
