Emergency Response
Extreme events and emergencies such COVID-19 is an ongoing public health concern, affecting us personally, our families, our communities and our organisations. First and foremost, our thoughts and priorities lie with the health and wellbeing of our sector and wider community. We wish to extend our gratitude to our healthcare workers and those providing essential services.
Emergency Recovery Victoria is a web portal designed to connect individuals, families, communities, businesses and regions to rebuild and recover after a disaster. Please refer to the website for up to date information on what is happening in Victoria.
Coming off the back of a disastrous summer of bushfires in 2019/20, and with ongoing flooding and severe weather events experienced throughout 2020/2021 and 2022, we are conscious that the needs of our members have shifted significantly. AMaGA Victoria is dedicated to developing ways to meet the emerging needs of our members, whilst continuing to provide existing services.
2023 Disaster Preparedness Calendar
While there are some disasters that we can’t prevent, we can reduce their impact on our collections by:
- Practicing risk reduction
- Focusing on disaster preparedness
- Reviewing policies
- Developing resilient communities
AICCM has developed a 2023 Disaster Preparedness Calendar to help cultural organisations act in a timely manner and be prepared for the hazards prominent in their region.
